See How It Works

Come see a demonstration with our Therapist & Equine Specialist, as they take you through what a Veteran experiences by the services we offer them.

We provide Equine Assisted Therapy to Veterans, at no charge to them, using horses and props, which help them recognize obstacles they are experiencing with adjusting to civilian life and, PTSD disorder.

There will be activities for children 10 years & older (we ask that no children under 10 attend), supervised by our volunteer staff. Q&A time with a panel consisting of, Debra Winters Therapist, Jane Del Vechio Equine Specialist, Mike Salinas Barn director & a Graduate of our program, & Founder, President & Executive Director, Nancy Zhe.

All of our volunteers will be available to show you around our stalls, talk about our daily grooming and exercise with the horses, or answer any questions you may have.

Experience What We Do

We are an accredited 501C3 Non-profit, which has been established since 2014 by Nancy.

When Nancy married her husband, John, she saw first hand the struggles our Veterans go through adapting to life outside the military. The need was great and she answered that call with Blue Star Ranch. Our ranch relies on company donations, grants and community donations. Our sessions run 10 weeks, at $120 per session. Only our Therapist & Equine Specialist are paid, all other services at the ranch are provided by our dedicated and much appreciated volunteers.
